JD Ralls

JD Ralls is in his first season as an NBA staff official. As a non-staff official, he officiated three regular-season games in the 2021-22 NBA season, six regular-season games in the 2022-23 NBA season and eight regular-season games in the 2023-24 NBA season.
Ralls officiated seven seasons in the NBA G League, where he refereed playoff games six years, Finals games four years and the championship game of the Winter Show-case three years. In 2022 and 2023, he officiated both the championship game of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas and the Basketball Africa League Finals.
The Baltimore native has seven years of officiating experience in college basketball, with assignments in the ACC, Big East, Atlantic 10, Big 12, Big 10, MEAC and CAA conferences. He refereed the Maryland state high school championship in 2015 and 2016.
Ralls graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing and Management. He was a standout high school basketball player at Edgewood High School in Maryland, where he scored more than 1,000 points and was earned All-State honors in 2009-10.
Ralls enjoys traveling, visiting museums, reading, cooking, collecting sneakers, watching movies, listening to music and playing sports.
