Message: Funny business? For real? Come on, don't be ridiculous. The refs' jobs - their entire lives - are predicated on calling a game correctly and fairly. They are judged and tested DAILY by the NBA and independent administers as to the accuracy of their calls, knowledge of rules, style of officiating. They've all worked their way up from youth games to high school to college to NBA games. They're really good at what they do - and their only focus is on calling things as correctly as possible. NBA refs are the 58 greatest referees in the world. They have to be. Refs do make mistakes - but it's a human game, that's the point. There is no big conspiracy, and no reason to presume so. And it's tiring to hear.
