Horrible officiating

If the NBA officials are scrutinized so much, how can Steve Javie, Bob Delaney, and Tom Washington ever officiate again in the NBA?  Does that scrutiny come with any consequences?  Apparently not.  There are those who believe that the NBA uses officials to control the outcomes of games in order to maximize financial gains for the league (not to mention that for every 7 game series, there's probably an extra paycheck in it for the officials).  Hey, if I knew that I could get an extra paycheck if the outcome went a certain way, I'd probably do my best to help that occur, too.  Although the conspiracy theory is a compelling one, perhaps the saying "never assume a conspiracy when incompetence is a more likely explanation" makes more sense.  Whatever the reason, the bias demonstrated by Javie, Delaney, and Washington in Game 5 last night in LA was pathetic and insulting to every intelligent person watching the game.  Here's an idea, as soon as Congress gets done investigating steriods in Baseball, video-cheating in Football, how 'bout they check into the corruption in NBA officiating.  Just because Tim Donaghy is serving 25 years doesn't mean the rest of the NBA officials are clean.  Who better to investigate corruption that those who understand it best?  Until NBA officials check their gigantic egos at the door of the arena and develop the courage to make decisions that, although unpopular, are CORRECT; the NBA reduces itself to nothing more than the sham of Pro-Wrestling.  Shame on all of you NBA refs for thinking that professional basketball was your springboard you to fame and fortune.  Do any of you have any integrity at all?     [/quote]
