I must say, I am flat-out appalled at the lack of respect given to Yao Ming. I mean, can the referees continue to ignore the beating Yao takes on a nightly basis? I guess that because he is so big, if he does not power his way to a 50-30-10 (pts-rebs-blks) stat line every time out, he does not deserve the respect that other players get in the very same situations. Not even in his younger days was Shaq the recipient of so many non-calls. I have never been one to associate losses with blown calls, but this season thus far has been an absolute travesty. The Rockets (most notably Yao) are getting called for fouls (or are not receiving the benefit of calls in their favor) on the exact same kind of plays for which the opposing teams are not getting called for fouls. Can you honestly call it one way and not the other? It has become so bad that the Rockets no longer have a home-court advantage. Including the cellar-dwellars, nearly every team that comes into the Toyota Center is already at an advantage because they know that they are going to receive favorable (although unfair) calls throughout the game.

Not even in their worst seasons have the Rockets been subjected to so many bad calls. The refs need to perform some serious evaluation of their calls. I am not saying the refs are targeting the Rockets, because that is not the case by any means. It is just an unusual phenomenon that happens to be ruining the Rockets season.

Tonight's outburst by Yao just goes to show the level of frustration that has developed due to the hundreds of missed and bad calls this season. The very slightest contact, and Yao is called for a foul. Perhaps he should just start stepping out of the way of opposing players, giving them a clear path to the basket. Then again, I am sure the refs would find something else to call on him...

I am disgusted with the lack of respect the referees give the portland trailblazers at home and on the road. It seems to me that because of the lack of superstar power, we as trailblazer fans get the short end of the stick when it comes to calls on both ends of the court.
I hate to see it, and to call it like I see it, its almost as if the refs have it out for our team.
Am I to be forced out of watching basketball like so many others because of the bad calls. Calls witch change the pace of the game and calls that drastically change the game completely.
Are we going to have to push for instant replay? It may be the only way to really be fair to both teams.
