Great news to hear that Bernie Fryer, who retired from the league's officiating staff over the summer, will re-join the league as assistant director of officiating. Fryer has always been a consistent, solid, and fair referee, and this, coupled with his several years of playing experience in the league, makes him a great addition to the NBA's front-office staff for officiating.
A terrific move by the NBA and a move that I suspect will help to improve the league's system of supporting and evaluating referees. |
