Hello. For some of you who don't know of me, I started coming in here early Jan, 2007, absolutely berating the Officials in the NBA on this site. Calling them liars, cheaters, sell outs, corrupt, showing favoritism, and giving "star teatment" to certain teams and players. I went on relentlessly. Today, I am not here to do any of that. Now having been proven right, I would like to start over. I was never here to attack anyone per se. What was going on I knew about, but I was the only one speaking out against a huge money machine (NBA). I was acusing the NBA of cheating and lying and determining the outcome of games. I had to go overboard to get my point across, or so it seemed. Of course, others on this site blasted me, calling me all kinds of names. It was ugly, yet I make no apology. Moving forward roughly a dozen games in to the post "scandal" era, I have seen a diference in officiating, and for the better. THAT is why I am here today, to applaud you, and to thank you for trying to right the ship of the best sport in the world, and the best league. Save for mens college tournament, the NBA is the best of the best, and growing up in Indiana, I may be more passionate about it than most, I dunno. But this year there seems to be more fairness in the way the games are officiated, and in doing so, I am seeing just how good you guys really are, or can be. When in the past you would give blatant star treatment to a high profile player, or team, which you guys DID DO, it takes away the fun of sport for the rest of us, not to mention it takes away fairness. Please note I have never gambled in my life on an NBA game, it is the purity of the sport I was defending, at least in my mind, again remember my Hoosier roots. But this year with the call's being more evenly made with less bias, the NBA is becoming enjoyable to watch again. It's early and I know you may be doing this only until the scrunity wanes, which is why even moreso I need to compliment you now. You still give Lebron toooooooooo many unfair calls, but again, I guess it ain't going to happen overnight. But for now, I am excited by what I see. Please continue to get better, stay unbiased, be fair and honest and have real geniune integrity, and fans will come back in droves, and from a basketball stand point, the best team will actually win. Now that I we can all live with. Thanks for your improved work. |

Much of the same, you fellas seem to be continueing your efforts to minimize star treatment calls and favoritism toward larger market teams.
Keep up the good work, if you do, the fans will come back after awhile. Fall back into the "old ways", you won't recover for ten years.
Why was Joey Crawford, after he and Andrew Bogut were talking about something, why was Crawford, while Bogut went to lineup for a possible free throw rebound, Crawford starred at Bogut for like two minutes, eyes red as fire? Why do you allow Joey Crawford to be in this league? He and Dick Bavetta are your most corrupt officials from the outside looking in.
Weed those guys out. Crawford is downright mean to players and Bavetta has been a league hit man for decades.
Otherwise, again congratulations, I have been seeing improvement in your overall work all year, and I just wanted to encourage you to keep it up and say thank you.
